This Policy explains what personal data Body Equation collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Data we collect
Account data (email, hashed password), profile data you enter (age, height, sex, weight, unit preference, language), usage data (weigh-ins, meal entries, deficit logs, photos you upload), and technical data (device, browser, IP, timestamps) needed to operate the service.
2. How we use it
To generate your personalised estimates, keep your account secure, send reminder and weekly-report emails you have opted in to, process payments through our payment provider, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Processors we rely on
We use trusted infrastructure and service providers (hosting, database, authentication, email delivery, AI providers for meal recognition and insights, and Stripe for payment processing). Each processes data under contractual and legal safeguards.
4. Retention
We retain your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time; upon deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is legally required (e.g. billing records).
5. Your rights
Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact support@bodyequation.app to exercise these rights.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and for security. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Children
Body Equation is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
